Expo13: Make the most of it!

Are you an Arts or PVAC student?

Unsure as to where you degree could lead?

Starting to think about your options after university and feeling a little overwhelmed by the vast amount of careers on offer?

Put Wednesday 13th November in your diary because Expo13 is a careers day aimed directly at you! We know that graduating with a BA can be daunting – especially with the variety of careers that are available, so this is your chance to come along and sample what employers are offering to University of Leeds Arts graduates.

Whether you want to start applying for internships and graduate jobs, or are looking into further study, there will be plenty of different organisations to speak to. From Sotherby’s Institute of Art, to Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Theatre Network, there really is something for everyone.

It’s important to remember that Expo13 isn’t just a careers fair, there will also be talks from industry professionals in many sectors from public relations to art and design. These talks can give you a great insight into many different professions and the route that can be taken in to them. For the full programme of events, visit the Expo13 website. You can also find out everyone who will be attending the fair on the event page on STARS.

Preparation is essential for careers fair success – you can take a look at one of our previous blog posts to get our tips on how to prepare for a careers fair!

So whether you fancy being the next Peter Robinson or Naga Munchetty (both Leeds Arts/PVAC alumni!), find out where your degree could lead you at the biggest Arts fair on the University calendar.

So kick start your creative career with Expo13!

We’ll be there, will you?

If you still have no idea about your career, you can pop in to the Careers Centre for a drop in appointment any time 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Remember, the right career for you starts with us!
