How I got my placement: Student Engagement Intern at University of Leeds

Charlotte is a final year Business Management student at Leeds, currently undertaking a part-time, term-time only placement with the Work Placement team at the University of Leeds, through the Leeds Internship Programme

I’m a final year Business Management student here at Leeds. I work with the Work Placement team in the Careers Centre as a Student Engagement Intern, a part-time term-time role working here on campus. My role gets me involved with lots of different projects, my favourite bits being co-ordinating some of the social media accounts and marketing efforts as well as helping out with events and other ad-hoc activities. A Path Less Travelled

Chris O’Connor graduated from the University of Leeds in 2010 with a BA in English and Philosophy and then again in 2011 with an MA in Writing for Performance and Publication. He is currently a part-time receptionist at the Careers Centre whilst pursuing  his interest in writing and journalism.

I remember vividly my feelings as I approached graduation. It was a mixture of relief, excitement and most prominently of apprehension.
